Eminence Missouri is a quaint, old fashioned small town

that was deemed "Missouri's Top Outdoor Outpost" and one of the top 50 outdoor sports towns in America, by Sports Afield magazine!

Located in the "Heart of the Ozarks", Eminence is surrounded by 300-foot hills covered with oak, hickory and dense stands of pine. Natural beauty at its finest is exemplified in the many springs and caves, abundant wild life, and especially the pristine streams.

The Canoe Capital of the World invites you to float  year-round on the Jacks Fork River and Current River a few hours or a few days for a truly memorable experience. In the heart of the Ozark  National Scenic Riverways the Current River and the Jacks Fork River provide excellent opportunities for john-boating, canoeing, tubing, swimming, fishing, relax and enjoy the nature which surrounds you.

If horseback riding is your interest, there are local businesses that offer guided trail rides with your own horses or rental horses. You can take a short one-day ride or pack trips for several days. Events throughout the year include rodeos, horse shows, and week long trail rides. Chance sightings of the famous Missouri Wild Horses makes your ride momentous. Other outdoor activities include fishing, hunting, swimming, sight seeing, or hiking on the Ozark Trail.

The shopper will delight in the many craft shops, much of which is made locally. We also boast several antique and specialty shops. Community events scheduled throughout the year include bluegrass festivals, the Ozarks Day festival, and in the Fall our celebrated Arts and Crafts Festival. Eminence also has a 9-hole municipal golf course for the golf enthusiast.

An outstanding selection of accommodations are available in the area. There are many campsites and picnic areas for those who want to rough it. For those who choose to be pampered, try the many bed and breakfasts, cabins, resorts and motels with varying degree of luxuries. Eminence also boasts an assortment of restaurants with a variety of menus, but all have a welcoming home-town feel.

So, if you want to get away from it all, come relax with us in the unspoiled beauty of the Ozarks. Let our friendly folks show you, your family and friends real Ozark hospitality!
